The trails are very well maintained. If you are a beginner or just looking for good friendly flow with family and friends the River Trail, Inner Loop and the Tall Grass Trail are perfect! There are a cool features on these three trails to try like the skinny bridge, the log roll and there are even benches along the way if a person needs to sit and rest. Head on up the to the Hillside Trail if you like it a little more aggressive. It offers some climbing and a little techy stuff. Don't forget to try Boulder City on the way! The Esses Trail is a step up from the Hillside with longer and more aggressive climbs, some tight turns and technical riding. The Eagle Rock Volunteers are currently building a new 2 mile trail called Armadillo Ridge and have plans of it being completed sometime the spring of 2022. It will have great climbs, drops, flow and features.

The trails range from easy to intermediate and are being very well maintained. The Eagle Rock Volunteers have been maintaining the trails for the last two years and are currently adding two more miles of trail and plan on that being completed by the spring of 2022. There is water and restrooms at the outlet parking lot. At the trailhead you will find a fire pit and a shelter with a picnic table. The trails offer family fun, some hard climbs as well as some techy parts.

Someone has been fixing this trail up since I was last here and they have done a great job. I couldn't even find half the trail last time. Seems like they need a bit more local interest though. Local bike shops I visited didn't even know it existed.

Rode the trail in March, found that the left turn into blue intermediate was more of an overgrown goat trail and lost it about a quarter mile in. After trying again and staying to the right, I found the main section. It is only a little over a mile and learned that the locals ride it 5 to 10 times to get a ride in. However, I discovered they were building a new section and found it to be quite fun, if a little demanding on the climbs. It adds about 3/4 of a mile to trail, making the whole thing about 2 miles. Although short, it was a lot of fun.

I would suggest parking just South of the trail before you cross the dam. If you park below where the sign is, you will find the climb up the grassy bank to be a rough start.

Parked at the lookout, Didn't see this sign but found some trails. Mainly for hiking I think, so I may have made it to the wrong trailhead. Lots of Rock.

In addition to my previous review you just need to go straight when you get to the shelter and push through the overgrowth. You will find the trail that winds up the ridge to be mostly intact and rideable on your right. Sign posts are still in place.

Has the potential to be a great trail if some work is done on it. I think all that would be needed is to walk through with a brush cutter and clear out the lower trails. Managed to ride up most of the difficult trail which switchbacks up the ridge. was quite fun descending back down. With some TLC it would be a good mix if beginer to advanced riding. Only short but you could just do loops. This is a great location.

Heavily overgrown early summer 2014. Only saw flat singletrack following the spillway creek. Turned around after 1/4 mile

This lake has a great landscape with it's tall rock bluffs, glacier limestone, Oak / Hickory woodland, and Bluestem / Indian tall grass. The trails here have a way of showcasing it all. The bike trails are not very long but display great change of terrain and technicality.

This trail is in beautiful south central Kansas. There are large rocky bluffs, heavy timber, and tall grass prairie trails. The bluffs on this trail are to steep to ride, so you only go about 1/3 of the way up the hillside. You start off on a overgrown prairie trail that follows the Elk River. The wooded trail is somewhat technical with rocky inclines, nice downhill, and tricky sharp turns. All of this is packed into a small area. The trail could expand up the hill a bit more to make this a extremely great ride. The trail could be marked better to let the riders enjoy the hole ride without having to ride the same trail twice or having to guess your way around the trail.
